I'm not breaking up inside,
I'm much too proud to moan.
Baby please come home.

Love & other drugs.

There are many things that I love. Many things that make me feel simply... alive. It would take me about forever and a day to post everything that I love, but there are basics that I cannot live without.
God, photography, love, my best friend, books, my family, the smells and sounds of life, rain, coffee, smiles, laughter, movies, music, journaling, quotes, traveling, Harry Potter, Europe, dreams, life, warm fuzzy jackets, boots, intelligence, him, crazy patterned socks, memories, the Inheritance Cycle, old records, hair straighteners, eyeliner, red lipstick, kisses, rings, Target, scarves, my dog Houdi, biting my lip, flats, jazz, Christmastime, and so so so much more.

I guess the reason I like doing these things, listing the things that I love, is because I feel that sometimes we take the things we love for granted, thinking "Well, they're always going to be there." But they aren't. In the blink of an eye we could lose a loved one, forget the lyrics to a favorite song, lose a special photograph, or take the things we are so graciously provided with in life with a grain of salt, forgetting their importance. The things we love shape who we are and who we become. So never forget them, from the smallest things, like loving a smile, or a cup of coffee, to the biggest things, like our best friends or our families. Because what you love is who you are, and the biggest gift you can give someone is sharing with them what you love- but the biggest loss in life is losing who you are.
